At the Auckland Seafood School we celebrate New Zealand's saltwater infatuation, introducing you to delicious dishes from the deep and creative new ways to serve seafood to your table.
The Auckland Seafood School is committed to seafood education. Using only the finest ingredients, freshest seafood and innovative seasonal flavour combinations our chef will reveal the secrets to producing mouth-watering seafood meals that you will go on to prepare.
Enjoy a complimentary beverage on arrival at our reception bar before going through to the School's 66-seat tiered auditorium where an overhead-viewing panel makes it a cinch to follow our chef's every step.
After watching the demonstration, you'll roll up your sleeves, slip on an apron and with assistance of the chef embark on your own cooking adventure recreating extraordinary seafood cuisine. You then sit-down to enjoy the spoils of your toils in the company of your evening's chef.
Among Auckland Seafood School's roll call of guest cooking guru's we have had presentations from Peta Mathias, Ray McVinnie, Annabel Langbein and Julie le Clerc to name a few. No matter which of our chefs are with you on the night they are sure to inspire.
Auckland Seafood School makes a great evening out with your friends or come along on your own and meet some new faces!! A cash bar is available prior to the class so you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the chef in the auditorium.
As well as cooking classes, you can reserve tickets for the newest tour in town, which takes you Behind the Scenes at Auckland Fish Market. The School can be booked for product and book launches, filming, team building, corporate events and guest chef demonstrations.
The minimum age for Seafood School classes is 14 years. We are able to accommodate groups up to 10 persons in our public classes. For larger numbers please phone for our corporate rates and book the place for yourself!!
Team Building And Corporate Events
Since opening in 2004 the Auckland Seafood School has become a popular all weather venue that can host a variety of events from team building cooking classes to company celebrations or that "staff party with a difference". Our 62-seat auditorium is also available for powerpoint presentations and we offer fantastic half and full day rental rates.
